Did I mention life is amazing.
I really don't feel like updating, but I have such an abundance of things to talk about that have built up from the last time I updated, that I might as well.
To start things off, last Wednesday I went to see AFI in concert. AFI hasn't come in Kansas City in around 4 years, so I should have been pretty hella pumped....but for some reason I wasn't that enthralled. Yeah, I was excited, but I lacked the enthusasmin that a previously had. I blame their new album and it's repetive, simplifed lyrics, but that's beside the point, now isn't it?
I went with Nicole, Hannah, Jesse, Annie, and Corey (whom by the way hates AFI with a passion, so I haven't a clue why he came). We were all very near the front in line so we got right by the stage. Great stuff, save for the fact everyone wanted to be there so you is was like one massive orgy, it was a so swished. People had to be pulled out of the crowed because they were screaming and crying to get out. You couldn't breath. Hannah passed out. Anne got knocked unconcious. I crowd serfed over the bodies. Great stuff.
The first band (Nightmare of You), though quite tallented, and no matter what Corey says, they were extremely emo. Dillinger Escape Pan was next. How they got hooked in a show with AFI, I have absolutly no clue. They're a great band (Dillinger) but I dont think alot of the AFI fans enjoyed them. I heard quite a few people scream with covered ears, "THIS ISN'T MUSIC THIS IN F****** NOISE!!!!!^&!%!!!%^!%*!&." Gotta love it, I sure did.
I though AFI had sold out, and all I really expected them to play was the songs off their new ablum and mabye a few from their last, but i was wrong. They started of with "Prelude 12/21," but instead of going strait into "Mrs. Murder" like everyone assumed they would.....they went strait into "Girls Not Grey." I about melted. The set list was absolutely jaw dropping amazing. Before I went to the show I was so upset because I knew they wouldn't play "God Called In Sick Today." When it was their last song I started flipping out like a severe tourettes patient on speed. Just beautiful.
At the end, everyone was standing outside were they "assumed" AFI would come out. There were about 70 people out there waiting, but Me, Hannah, Jesse, and two other people went over the the other side of the uptown were you could acctually see their tour bus.........idoits......we saw the band walking in and out of the building and out onto the bus. We talked to Smith.......and the Jade came over (the guitarist). He hopped the fence and started talking two our little group of people. He was really really nice. He signed Hannahs hat and kept quizing her on what kind of hat it was and all the triva behind it's name. I got a pic of him with he arm around me. Hannah grabed his butt. He signed my shoe. It was all very nice, and I can't believe the pictures of he and I excist. Fun.
We waited around a while after that and met Davey Havok. He struck up a conversation with me, which was cool. I aparently look like someone he knows. It went kind of like this:
Davey: Wow, you look almost exactly like a friend of mine.
Me: *with a raised eyebrow* Oh, do I now?
Davey: Yeah, except she's about this tall. *raises his hand up to indicate her hight*
Me: ummm...yeah...I'm definatatly not that tall..
Davey: Yeah, she's about 5' 11". Do you have an older sister or anything?
Me: Nope, not that I'm aware of. Oh, *rembering the shoe oposet to the one that Jade signed* would you be so kind as to sign my shoe, sir?
Davey: No problem *signing*
Me: Yeah, I'm no where close to 5'11", about 5' 2". Yeah, I'm pretty short.
Davey: Yeah, me too.
I then gave him a hug and thanked him for the show and said goodbye to him. I probably would have talked to him a bit longer, but him seemed pretty swamped by people wanted autographs so I bid him farewell. I thought it was pretty cool. Got pictures of me and Davey as well. sweet stuff.
Have alot more to talk about, and this is all pretty condenced, due to the fact this post is long as it is. I have plenty of more stories to tell though. Everyday is a new story. And an interesting post. Have about 80 good posts I can make about the past few days and the days that will follow. I think I'll start posting everyday.
Picture time.

Be jealous.
